About Us

Collaborative Graphic Design/Mixed Media Wood Art by Hector Sandoval & Rebecca Wilson.

Welcome to our realm of creativity where graphic design, illustration, photography and craftsmanship intertwine, giving life to unique pieces of art that tell stories and evoke emotions. We are a husband and wife duo passionate about merging our worlds of design with the timeless beauty of woodwork.

Our collaboration is built on a foundation of creativity, love and a shared vision. With backgrounds in graphic design and fine woodworking, we bring together our distinct skills to create art that is not only visually striking but also rich in texture and depth. Each piece is a harmonious blend of digital precision and handcrafted elegance, reflecting our dedication to quality and detail.

Our Artistry

Our work begins with inspiration drawn from nature, architecture, and the abstract. We translate these inspirations into intricate designs using state-of-the-art graphic design tools. These digital blueprints are then transformed into tangible art pieces through meticulous woodworking techniques. We work with various plywoods and reclaimed framing wood, each chosen for its unique grain, color, and texture, adding a natural dimension to our designs.

The Process

  1. Conceptualization: Every piece starts with a conversation and brainstorming session. We discuss ideas, sketch rough drafts, and refine our concepts until we have a clear vision.

  2. Design: Taking photos out in Nature is our most common source of inspiration. Doodling on paper and iPad, we begin to form the basis of our design. Using advanced graphic design software, we create detailed and precise patterns around these. This phase allows us to play with shapes, lines, and forms, ensuring the design is perfect before it moves to the next stage. Color is a huge piece to the puzzle!

  3. Craftsmanship: The digital design is then carefully transferred onto wood using a Sublimation technique that involves multiple heat presses + heat gun. With traditional woodworking tools and modern techniques, we cut, route, and assemble the pieces. Each cut is deliberate, and each assembly is a testament to our craftsmanship.

  4. Finishing Touches: The final stage involves sanding, staining, and sealing the wood. This enhances the natural beauty of the wood and ensures the longevity of the piece. Each artwork is then signed and numbered.
